Root Canal

Can you smoke after a root canal?

Smoking is not recommended after a root canal. It can delay healing, increase the risk of infection, and may compromise the temporary filling. Ideally, avoid smoking for at least 48 to 72 hours.

- Try to avoid smoking for at least two to three days.
- The suction from smoking can dislodge a temporary filling.
- Contact your clinic if you notice pain, swelling, or a bad taste after smoking.
