How to help root canal pain?

Mild soreness after a root canal is normal and usually lasts 2–4 days. Over‑the‑counter pain relievers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen, taken as directed, are usually enough to keep you comfortable.

- Take ibuprofen or acetaminophen according to the package instructions or your dentist’s advice.
- Avoid chewing on the treated side until the final restoration is placed.
- Contact your clinic if pain does not improve after a few days or if swelling develops.
