How to relieve pain after root canal treatment?

Mild pain or sensitivity after a root canal is normal and can usually be managed with over‑the‑counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen or paracetamol, taken according to the label instructions. Applying a cold pack to the outside of the cheek in 10‑minute intervals can also help reduce any swelling and soothe the area.
