Root Canal

What happens after root canal treatment?

After a root canal, you may feel mild soreness for a few days, which usually improves steadily. The tooth will have a temporary filling or crown, and you should avoid chewing on that side until the permanent restoration is placed.

- Mild tenderness is normal for 2–4 days and can be managed with OTC pain relievers.
- Avoid hard, sticky, or chewy foods on the treated side until the final crown is placed.
- Contact your clinic if pain worsens or if swelling or fever develops.
