Root Canal

What to expect after root canal treatment?

After a root canal, you can expect mild soreness for a few days, especially when biting. The numbness from anesthesia will wear off in 2–4 hours. You will have a temporary filling or crown, and the tooth will need a permanent crown later to prevent fracture.

- Mild tenderness is normal for 2–4 days and should improve daily.
- Avoid hard, sticky, or chewy foods until the permanent crown is placed.
- Schedule the final crown promptly to protect the tooth from cracking.
