Teeth Whitening
The process of lightening the colour of the teeth is called Teeth Whitening. In the last few years this process has been a really popular cosmetic treatment. In beautiful Albania, there cannot be a specific total number of people who have required teeth whitening, but we can say for sure that the lower costs are doing a great job in attracting people here and being satisfied with this service.
There are a number of methods used including sanding down stains, bleaching and ultraviolet light therapy provided from clinics in Albania, especially in the capital city Tirana.
Teeth Whitening Categories:
- In-Office - a category performed by professionals in their clinic. The procedure is followed by concentration of bleaching agents and doesn’t take more than an hour in terms of time cost.
- At-Home - a category performed by the patient where custom trays or strips are provided from a professional of the field. In terms of time cost it will take about a few weeks to see enhancing results.
- Laser - a category performed in the clinic by professionals that takes way less time to show full results compared to the above categories.

Duration of results for each category is quite long, variating from a few months to a few years. Generally all these procedures are safe, however a few side effects will be gum irritation and temporary tooth sensitivity. The most effective method would be the professional in-office whitening category, which is the most suggested one.
Furthermore regarding costs, in-office category treatments can vary from €300 - €1000, but this isn’t the case in Albania. The average price in Albania is around €150- €200.
